Well I've collected my V2000 and set about building it up the second it was outta the box. This thing it huge, should have plenty of room for my watercooling kit! Heres what I'm hoping to put in it:
Hardware - * MSI K8n Diamond Plus * AMD FX55 * 2 GB Patriot PC3200 DDR * 2x MSI 7800GTX's * Sound Blaster X-Fi * 2x 80g, 1x 200g SATA HDD's * 2x NEC 16x DVD Writer * 7 in 1 Floppy/Media card Reader Cooling - * PA120.3 (cooling 2x NV78 and TDX) * PA120.1 (cooling 3x chipset via MIPS Computers K8N blocks) * 2x D5 Pumps * 2x Res (undesided as to which ones yet) * 3x Yate Loons fans (for PA120.3) * 1x Blue LED Slienx 120mm fan (for 120.1) * 1x loads of 7/16" tubing Think that about covers it! Thanks to Marci the holes for the PA120.3 have already been sorted for me, as have the hdd trays. First things i've done for today is replace the stock switch with a blue LED anti-vandal switch, fit black rubber trim instead of the plastic grey stuff used to edge the holes for tubing and psu cables, rubber edging on the hole for the 120.3 (in the base) and finally removed the last HDD tray. Next up will be mounting of the watercooling gear thats gonna live in the base of the case and file of the rough edged to the screw holes for the 120.3. I'll get on with some foto's too but my mates got my camera at the moment so gonna have to wait a day or two for those. -------------------- Quad Core, Dual Loop Watercooled Mountain Mods Duality -: Asus P5N-E SLI :-: Intel Q6600 @ Stock :-: 2GB OZC CP2-6400 :-: BFG 8800GTX :-: Audigy X-Fi :- ![]() Old Case: Lian-Li V2000 |

Went for blowhole rubber allround then? There should've been a meshX filter to go on the rearmost 120.3 fan (grill on inside of case), and a PA120.2 grill to go on the outside of the case for the remaining two fans... hence the holes for the remaining two were left as they were...

Yeah the grills etc where in there.. Just went for the blow hole rubber since its black and i think it looks better since the case it black. I've got a 120.3 grill thats going on the outside after a little modding to allow it to fit with the wheels being on there..

Had 10min spare lastenite so i've sorted out the pump ready to be mounted underneath the center divider. Sometime in the next few days i'll be looking to getting another hole cut to allow for the tubing to pass between the center divider for the 2nd loop.

But on a plus note i've done some testing and my second 7800gtx isn't dead afterall so a big yay from me so i can sli again -------------------- Quad Core, Dual Loop Watercooled Mountain Mods Duality -: Asus P5N-E SLI :-: Intel Q6600 @ Stock :-: 2GB OZC CP2-6400 :-: BFG 8800GTX :-: Audigy X-Fi :- ![]() Old Case: Lian-Li V2000 |

Having been a little bored today over lunch i've been home and had a bit of a dig out to find my lovely step drill bit so tonight i'm gonna get back to work on the case itself.
I have a section to remove from the dividing tray to pass the tubing through, and i've 2 holes to cut into the top to hold the 2 fill port res's... then i think its maybe ready to start getting some watercooling bits installed! -------------------- Quad Core, Dual Loop Watercooled Mountain Mods Duality -: Asus P5N-E SLI :-: Intel Q6600 @ Stock :-: 2GB OZC CP2-6400 :-: BFG 8800GTX :-: Audigy X-Fi :- ![]() Old Case: Lian-Li V2000 |

Few more little shots
Firstly we have the addition opening to allow the tube from the res to pass down to the pump/t-line, to allow the outlet to the waterblock and maybe the return from the waterblock (tho this may move to another place yet. ![]() And heres the lilttle set that gonna help me get those perfect size holes am after in the case top.

Latest shots with the res's mounted in the top, just to show how things should look shortly i've popped a little tubing in there...
Internal: ![]() External: ![]() Next ups gonna be a test fit i think, then maybe starting work on a few plexi panels what will hide the extra holes on the middle dividing panel. Heres a few bits I did over lunch yesterday.
Nothing major but i've found out some antisound padding that i bought ages ago for another case so i've used a section of that to cover the center section of the case. This covers up the extra holes pretty nicely so i think i might keep it like it is. Also I've added a few more runs of tubing so i've got a better idea whats what as far as room for hardware etc goes. I think things are slowly starting to take shape... comments, suggestions?? -------------------- Quad Core, Dual Loop Watercooled Mountain Mods Duality -: Asus P5N-E SLI :-: Intel Q6600 @ Stock :-: 2GB OZC CP2-6400 :-: BFG 8800GTX :-: Audigy X-Fi :- ![]() Old Case: Lian-Li V2000 |

Done a little more today as i wanted to get the cutting side of things out of the way then tomorrow am planning on blowing the whole case out with a compressor to remove any metal dust, then go over it all with a tack rag.
On the left we have all the kit thats gonna be going in the case. On the right we have the marked out area ready for a top vent. On the left theres two cutouts on the mobo site to allow IDE etc to pass behind the mobo tray. On the left there are two similar cuts to allow the SATA and PCI-e cables to run behind the mobo tray. Tomorrow I'm hoping to start with a test fit for all the blocks and tubing, then a measure up with the HDD and CDROM installed. -------------------- Quad Core, Dual Loop Watercooled Mountain Mods Duality -: Asus P5N-E SLI :-: Intel Q6600 @ Stock :-: 2GB OZC CP2-6400 :-: BFG 8800GTX :-: Audigy X-Fi :- ![]() Old Case: Lian-Li V2000 |

well i was planning on doing a little update for ya all today but it seems my web host has died at some point over the last 12 hours... so for now words are all your having!
I've done the final cutout and cleaned the inside up ready to start with some hardware mounting. The 120mm fan hole in the top went well so am happy with that, next up is going to be mounting the cdroms / hdds so i can sort out some power cable lengths -------------------- Quad Core, Dual Loop Watercooled Mountain Mods Duality -: Asus P5N-E SLI :-: Intel Q6600 @ Stock :-: 2GB OZC CP2-6400 :-: BFG 8800GTX :-: Audigy X-Fi :- ![]() Old Case: Lian-Li V2000 |

The finished top vent hole for a 120mm fan:
Few updates on the interior, rubber on all the holes and a brief look into how the cables will be routed (note, am not planning on using thems butt ugle cables that are in there! - this is just a test): I ran into a little triouble with the cdrom blanking plates, the sides where too long so after a little triumming and filing down we managed to get everything to fit right. All I need now to complete the front is an addional cdrom cover: Next up will be a complete test fit for all the fans and power supply (to be sure it all fits in where i want it). Then it onto creating some custom power cables to keep things neat and finally the watercooling hardware goes back in for its test fit and leak test. Comments etc? -------------------- Quad Core, Dual Loop Watercooled Mountain Mods Duality -: Asus P5N-E SLI :-: Intel Q6600 @ Stock :-: 2GB OZC CP2-6400 :-: BFG 8800GTX :-: Audigy X-Fi :- ![]() Old Case: Lian-Li V2000 |
