I 'nicked this from bl**dy Sorcerer from over at XS forums, thanks mate smile.gif

It's not going to be 100% as it's worked from formula Q=2*Qmax*I%-Qmax*(I%)^2 where I%=volts/VMax but is really as accurate as it needs to be to figure out if your TEC is gonna handle what you need it to handle at a given voltage.

Hope it helps out over here smile.gif

You're welcome :-P
be warned though: those amperage draw numbers are completely wrong... at least most of them. Some of them may have actually hit the mark, but all the low ones are totally off :-)
If any of you know the actual formula for amperage calculations, just holler.

Nice to see you over here smile.gif

I knew the lowest range of values would be a ways off, but the ones closer to the ideal value are pretty close, close enough for most users to get an idea of what they'll need for a given setup, and that's a really big help!

Save a lot of 'I have a X cpu and it's supposed to put out Y wattage of heatload, which tec should I use?' type of questions, and this really answers it enough for most applications.

Most of the time, you'll just be running a 15v tec at 12v, or a 24v tec at 12v, so the numbers aren't far enough away to be of that much concern.

Thanks again, it's a good reference smile.gif

well, since i failed to find the edit button, I guess i'm double-posting.
just wanted to let you know that after a couple of hard hours of work into the wee hours of the morning, I (with plenty of help) have fixed these charts up: here
just for the record... amperages were right, wattages were wrong! totally surprised me :-)
EDIT2: hey, theres the edit button... why did it go away on my other post? *shrug*
