2. Grab the bios chip out of that mobo b4 ya sling it, ya never know how handy they become (ain't that right mav!)

SO, next step new mobo and unlocked Tbred2200+ perhaps?? Got one unlocked and waiting for you already...  :D

Dear Mr AMD, i had a slight mishep with my processor purchased from Over-Clock UK.

Althought the processor was a factory model and had not been modified for proformance it unfortunatly overheated causeing considerable damage to the Processor and the motherboard it was attached to.

I would be very greatful if you could take then issue up with the supplier, as they refuse to RMA the chip for replacement.

Thanks indeedy Customer X

Im sure if you asked your house insurance people you will be covered.

The kit is provided with full fitting instructions, as long as you can prove you followed them, and the kit was faulty someone is to blame.

Ehiem most probably

guess thats just one mroe reason to get them flow matic jobs when they come  in (and probably explains why they're in so much demand)

if you used the supplied AMD fan there would have been melted aluminium all over the shop.... the retail hsf couldent cool the northbridge  let alone the cpu

mav does have a point, personally i would put a block of butter on the CPU rather than the retail fan, the butter would last longer, and smell nicer when it does go

Purcisely! Also Privateer, what happened to the BIOS thermal warning/shutdown? Forgot to set it? Real shame, nasty mess. Condolences and all that mate.

Just got a heads up to this thread, and it's something I've known about, but people wont always believe me, that the block can actually get hot enough to unsolder when a pump dies using a high power TEC. LINK

Privateer48 It may not be much help, but I could repair the block for you, (at no cost), if you send it. It would be & look better than it was before the disaster. That's if you can't mend it yourself of course. :wink.gif:

Check out my credentials at www.zerofanzone.co.uk

I've just got some testing gear together as I'm going to start playing with a 220 watt Tec soon. Will however dedicate this weeked end to getting my "pump death low flow shutdown system" built first I think, (as I've been puting it off for far too long now).
